    digestive problems

My wife has been having major problems with digestion.  Immediately after eating she has a lot of pain, pressure and also a lot of bloating.  A while back she was in the hospital for something unrelated and was given a lot of antibiotics.  Our thought is the antibiotics killed off all the good bugs in her digestive system and kept the bad ones.  I've gotten her a ton of probiotics and have her taking approximately 40 billion good bugs per day.  Is there anything else we should be doing to get her back to normal?

Wow! I just learned something new. Who knew there was such a thing as probiotics? Makes sense if there are antibiotics I guess.

Here is what wikkipedia says in case anyone else is curious - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probiotic

As far as what else your wife can do, I'm not sure. What do the doctors say about it (and the use of probiotics)?

Funny you should mention this.  I have had Crohn's Disease for 35 years and my parents thought it may have been caused by tetracycline use.  I wish your wife well but IF this is related getting a through physical would be in line.  You've probably have done that already.

    dparks,

i also have problems with digestion. i've learned to watch the amount of sugar i take in, the amount of processed foods i eat and not to overeat. after you gave your wife a ton of probiotics, did it help her out?
