    Recipe for Life

Since I had the flu this week and I don't sit still well, I finished reading the book "Recipe for Life" by Graham and Treena Kerr. I was very impressed with all the changes they have made and motivated to make some of my own! He will have a cookbook out sometime this year that I will probably also get.

Can you tell me what the book is about...is it something more inspirational/motivational or does it provide helpful recipes?  It sounds interesting but wanted to get a better idea.  Thanks.

The book is inspirational. Their next book coming out this year will have recipes. They do have a website with recipes. I haven't tried any yet but will in the future. The biggest thought I took away from the book is to not indulge in things that are unhealthy. The motivation for that would be a healthier life of my own but also giving to others that have less.

Thanks for the review!  Have you heard of the book The Seven Pillars of Health?  A friend of mine has been telling me how good it is...

No, I haven't. I heard about 'Recipe for Life' on the radio program called Family Life. Have you ever listened to it?

We have listened to that radio show many times I believe.  Family Life...is that connected with Dr. Dobson?

Family Life is with Dennis Rainey, Focus on the Family is James Dobson. I listen to both programs often.

Do you know about the new Book Club on Ignite?  Since it's Kick a Habit month on Ignite, we're going to try to break free of some bad eating habits.  I know personally I've been pretty bad with my new year's resolution so this is a great excuse for me to get motivated again.  Pick up the book or you may already have it laying around - YOU ON A DIET by Michael F. Roizen, M.D. and Mehmet C. OZ, M.D.

Dr. Oz is pretty popular as I have seen him on Oprah.  Check it out and join us on Health Blog.  Each week we're going to start talking about a couple of chapters.  Let us know what you think of the book and the new book club.  See you there!
