    After Valentine's Day

I hope that everyone had a great Valentine's Day! My son and daughter were both home from school. I did some shoveling and my son started working on digging an igloo in the 6 ft. pile of snow at the end of the driveway. The landscape is beautiful. So, did everyone do okay with not eating too much chocolate? Thankfully we didn't have any chocolate in the house! I did make cookies though. Next holiday to watch for is Lent for those in the Christian faith. I don't celebrate Mardi Gras. So I won't have to worry about extra calories on that day! Lent can be a positive experience of giving up something for a reason. I haven't given up anything in the past, but this year I'm thinking about what to give up for 6 weeks, until Easter.

I did eat a little chocolate. It was good but it is too tempting to have

around the house. I need to take it somewhere else so it isn't around.

We usually only have healthy snacks such as rice crispy squares,

100 calorie snacks ect. so that we can keep track and not overeat.

I did good about not eating too many sweets...but hubby and I went out for dinner to a Mexican restrurant and I ate WAY too many chips and queso.  At least we shared an entree.  I braved the scale today and I've lost 3 pounds in the past week and a half!  Yay!!  only about 15 more to go!
A waist is a terrible thing to mind,
    Good luck with the Challenge!

    Great job!

Are you on a special diet plan? It's a great strategy to share an entree. Then you can enjoy the chips without too much guilt.

My daughter brought home a box of chocolates for me. Thankfully it only had 4 pieces, which I ate. Phil and I went out to Outback Steakhouse tonight. We did not choose the best entrees but we rarely eat out so I don't mind. We didn't get dessert either! Wow, only 15 pounds to go for you!  That's great.
